I don't know who it was, but it came up as an international number on my phone which made me suspicious. I didn't answer it.
Called and read from script for a minute. When he asked me if he was talking to me he hung up.
I suppose an Indian letting down the sub Continent not to mention the ones in the other sub Continent the U.K! All the ones I have met seem to work very hard, up to 19 hours a day and the only thing that keeps them going is ownership of their own business. How opposite can one be? Called once by "Peter from the pensions review company". When I interrupted and asked why he was calling me and where had he got my number from, he said "I have a database, your number is in it and there is no need to be rude sir" and hung up! Actually, the scandal here is that someone has provided or "acquired" my (and countless others ) mobile telephone number. If THIS were made a fraudulent act, these "telemarketers" would not be able to operate.

SCAM Had a number of calls recently offering a new iPhone. I don't use or like Apple products so they are wasting their time. 2 calls yesterday from 01208 247201 - missed the 1st, but they rang again withing seconds. As suspected, another iPhone scam call. That block of numbers is owned by Franzcom Telecoms in Bodmin, Cornwall. Something needs to be done to prevent these foreign scammers spoofing UK telephone numbers.
