Fraud cla to be housi g disrepair team. I own my home and when told call bei g recorded fir police they hu g up. Clearly Indian call centre. Would love to know where they got my number from.

Texted me with the message 'We're sorry, but you don't have enough credit. Your recent purchase could no be completed.' Followed by a link to click, presumably to "top-up" my credit. Funny thin is - I've not purchased anything. Clearly a scam.

SPAM at 2pm, the time when some old people are likely to be at home; a youngish man, he said his name was re-uben, "you don't know me but"... I said was he a scammer, cheers, and put phone down. He left me a voice text message, a bible message from jw.org. That is jehovah's witnesses. However when I rang bt 1572 to block his number, that number read back to me to block was my very own home phone number; his call had put my own number as that number to be blocked. Called today. Recorded re two huge Visa card transactions. Realised it was a scam so pressed 1 to mess with them. Amateur scammer in the middle of a meal? Argued with her for a while until she hung up after becoming very irate.

Scam calls usually related to Crypto. They generate new fake spoofed numbers (including this one), and call from UK, China, and other random countries. Previous owner of my phone number must have signed up on their website for information, but they have been calling me for over a year despite me saying its not the right person.

FraudFemale recorded voice with American accent (very amateurish) saying they were HMRC and that I had been reported for tax evasion. The case has been reported to the police and would be brought before a magistrate. "Press 1 to speak to a HMRC agent", Obviously I didn't. This country has some of the most advanced telecomms technology in the world. WHY can't the authoriries (Police, BT, the Regulator) take down these numbers?

It was autocall which said, if you been avoiding tax you will be charge a fee... Or something alone these lines...

SCAM? This number called with a recorded message saying to press 1 to speak to hmrc tax officer. Did not have my name or anything but said that discrepancies had been found on my tax return and could be a criminal offence. Cut off when I didn't respond. Doubt that hmrc would be calling from Russia

The phone number is in London, but caller said he was calling from Manchester, UK!

Unsure but a recorded voice will tell you that there is a serious case against you and that you must respond otherwise you will get your National Insurance cancelled. I suggest you hang up immediately and block the number.

This is a hoax .... say they are from currys and PC world... they offer upgrade on your phone, 1 week on no new phone canceled card payment and direct debit, phoned again today soon as they heard my voice they hung up, I've been keeping the line busy for the past 2 hours .... got nothing better to do. I know ut won't do any good but I must be annoying them and stopping them catching anyone else out.

This is the fourth time this week calls from 01223 reputed to be Cambridge? saying my bank account has been attacked etc when pressed 2 to talk to the operator a female Asian voice answered....I asked are you in Nagapur India, the line went dead? It's obvious they have a way to get into our phone system. Another one they use is Liverpool 01514.

SCAM recorded message that bt internet was being closed and to press 1 or 2 to speak to bt customer service to prevent.
