Co-Op fraud team - legitimate call. If in doubt, call customer services from the number on their website and ask to be put through.

Went dead as soon as I answered but this sounds like the same thing as reported on the media with Indian (or Indian subcontinent) scammers pretending to be from spoofing the number of an innocent guy in Wigan who has nothing to do with it.

Old scam - after your data to sell onto other criminals who disregard the law. Just hang up. Good reporting them to the ICO. You don t even need to know their name, just their number. This number called and terminated the call before I got to the telephone. I tried calling the number but got no answer. Virgin auto telecomms said the number was unrecognised.
