I asked him to remove my name and number from their list and then he put me onto someone else who was pushing the same agenda. I ended up telling him this was harassment and put the phone down on another very ignorant man.

Automated message apparently from HMRC saying that a fraud investigation had been opened relating to me. If I did not choose option 1 a warrant would be issued. Sounds like a scam to me.
Fraud - tell you that HMRC have issued a warrant for your arrest and to press 1 then they leave the connection open at their end and charge you premium rates for the call. Please don't answer - people have lost up to £300 pressing 1 and then they continually try you on different numbers every day after this. This should have been stopped long ago by the authorities - it's a disgrace that it hasn't been.

They said that I was basically being overcharged by my current suppliers and asked me for my bill to obtain the supply number. They were very inquisitive seeking information that should have been known. I did not provide the information as they appeared dodgy.
