I once answered the phone and asked who is it and they automatically cut off. I find it strange how this is becoming the norm all of a sudden. I refuse to change my number though if you call me, I think it is only right that you introduce yourself first. Since they did not I know they have something to hide!!! This number is used by Boku, a phone collection service (based in San Fransico, USA - with supposedly Europe wide offices) that collects "subscriptions" from, normally inadvertantly, "subscribing" to on-line adverts, messages and web sites. Had 5 calls today all purporting to be concerned about our electric meter not being registered (so they say) calls from 0113 4192006, 0161 2105186, 01924 659006 and 01937 347006

The only way to get at these people is to go onto the Information Commisioner s website and report the number. If enough of us do this, they will investigate the number. There are very heavy fines for companies who do this. Report them every time you get a call - it is very easy to do.

Totally bullshit company. The operator gets almost upset when you refuse his advice. I have had numerous calls, all routed through a Liverpool exchange number (01513752326). When I confirmed their location as Manchester, and when I questioned why through a Liverpool exchange, got all defensive. Hard sell agents, harassing isn t a strong enough word. Illegal should be more of a description! Block the numbers, never ever trust this company.
