Scam call - woman rabbiting on about energy saving, need to send an energy consultant to my house to do a survey. 'Helen' good at talking but rubbish at listening! Asked her twice what is the name of her company but she kept talking fast. Asked her if she knows what TPS means (Telephone Preference Service supposed to stop unwanted calls), kept rabbiting on so asked again at which point she terminated the call.

0161 9741694 have just been blocked by me as again they ignore my request to stop calling me. They ask about a car accident I have had in the last 2.5 years which I have not had. I asked him to remove my name and number from their list and then he put me onto someone else who was pushing the same agenda. Indian callers are using this number to scam people - acting as BT officials and urging the people they call to switch on their computers so they can either fix your internet connection or help you get rid of a virus. Being extremely PC-savvy, I challenged the caller, at which point they disconnected the call.

Fraud - tell you that HMRC have issued a warrant for your arrest and to press 1 then they leave the connection open at their end and charge you premium rates for the call. Please don't answer - people have lost up to £300 pressing 1 and then they continually try you on different numbers every day after this.
