Was a call center with a whole host of background noise of other people talking on other phones. Said I couldn t hear what they were saying twice and then they just hung up.

This company calls me persistently, today I have had 3 calls, even though their number is blocked on my mobile and their calls are instantly disconnected. This leads me to believe they are using some automated calling app. I don t believe they are based in UK but are using UK numbers to give that impression.

Automative message said criminal crime and police investigation added against to your name, and than said if you want to have more information about it press 1. I didn`t press 1. I think this is a scam and i beleive if i press one probably I proved access to my phone.
SCAM / SPAM says there HMRC and that there is fraud on your account don't listen to then hmrc will send you many letters before they ring you.

Call claimed to be from Vodafone retentions department promising me a 40% discount, asked me a bunch of security questions and then asked me to read him the code from a password reset email that he had triggered on my Vodafone account. This apparently would enable him to send me the priority app so I could access 5G calls and VIP features. Alarm bells at this point. I said I'd call him back then checked with Vodafone. I feel sorry for Bideford G.B. because the criminals, who fake their numbers as well as everything else, chose to call me using this supposed number today. I didn t answer the call as very suspicious but rang them back to get info. Say they re claims specialists and got my details from Motor Insurance Bureau. I haven t had an accident and they had my name wrong. Very foreign accents. I suspect a scam. have blocked the number.
