They call and ask you for a one time payment to support a magazine to go into schools regarding bullying. ONCE. ONE TIME ONLY. You do not sign a contract, you do not enter into an agreement. They then persistently call you and ask you for more money as apparently you have entered into a contract. Recognise a Scam: Unsolicited Call They associate themselves with ‘a good cause’ It's a limited offer . Car accident scam
Recorded message claiming to be from HMRC in relation to tax. Strongly suspect this is a scam.
The person who called had a very strong foreign accent and said something about discontinuing my phone line and emails. Couldn't make out what he wanted and stopped the call. To verified the number, I called back and I had the "unobtainable" sound. Clearly, the call was a SCAM. BEWARE. DON'T GET INVOLVED.

SCAM / SPAM Openreach scam - recorded message that the Internet connection will be cut off, push 1 for operator. Indian(?) 'technician' then tries to get you to install TeamViewer QuickSupport so they can presumably compromise devices. Managed to keep them on the phone for 15 minutes so they couldn't scam someone else!
Asked for me by name, but we had a really bad connection - hung up straight away when I mentioned it.
SCAM: These people called a very elderly and confused relative claiming to provide call barring services and asking for her debit card details to charge her £89. After the call she realised she had been scammed. There are 113 companies registered at the address they gave.
