Had a call asked for my father by name, they claimed it was about an accident he had. My father does not drive. she apologised. I think it was a oppertunist scam.
Not a clue who this was, the call rang for about 5 rings then cut off just before I could answer. No voicemail left. Tried to return the call but recorded message telling me the number was invalid. Potentially a scam as lots of numbers using 0203 numbers to appear as a London number.

There are some dodgy people going around London fixing stickers to peoples doorbells and front doors that say "24/7 LOCKSMITH 07379 253 353". There have been news reports that these type of stickers are used by criminals to identify which properties can later be burgled. This may or may not be the case with these stickers but any locksmith that advertises by sticking stickers on other peoples property without permission, are untrustworthy in my book. Told them I'm not going to log on while he was on the phone with me & controlling my pc. He didn't sound too happy when I said I'm not going to log in to my account he insisted it was to claim my money, I said no & he said goodbye & hung up.

A person called Alan Wilkins purporting to be from the Telephone Preference scheme called to try and obtain my bank details. I asked him for verification and he gave me this number but when I dialled 1471 he had called from 02871030659 which unsurprisingly was unavailable. I called 02036305457 and the automatic answer said it was Telephone Preference Management. I put the phone down and a bit later they rang me back so I told them Iwas investigating who they were as I believed they were not who they said. T
