We received a silent call from them which locked our line for a few minutes even when we put the phone down and pick it up again. We dialed 1471 and got the above number which I called on my mobile but withheld our number and they identified themselves as the above company, as soon as we got the name, we hang up. Did not answer call as number not in my contacts list. No message left on voicemail which is a bad sign. Tip if someone wants to get hold of you, they will leave a message, if no message, then either telemarketing or spam or scam callers

A new number for me and also, of course, unrecognised. Thus Call Blocker again came to the fore and is now going to be permanently blocked.

At least half a dozen calls over last couple of days. I answered twice and person hung up both times!

Its Vanquis Bank chasing payments. When they cant raise you on their usual numbers they get sneaky and divert via an STD code local to you.Its a bit sneaky but they do have a genuine reason for needing to talk with you
