Seems to be some robocaller from call centre, they are just testing if the line is answering - don't answer it, it could be a few rounds of calls from this number, but when you answer, they just end the call and mark your number as alive and then prepare for real marketing calls :) ...

SCAM - Trying to inform me my NI number has been compromised and I need to press 1 to talk to an officer otherwise I will be arrested.
Phone call from these people. Smooth talking salesman told me name of the company and said they are doing surveys. I answered some questions about the property and then he said they are calling at 7 pm tomorrow to do a property survey and sit down with me and discuss options. I was alarmed and said I do not let strangers into my house. He was persistent so I put the phone down. I wonder if anyone ever agrees to the property survey. They might be genuine, but I reckon it is best not to chance it.

Very abrupt chap called Charles said he was from Domestic Appliances and would not let me get a word in edgeways. He said my appliances were no longer covered as my insurance had run out. I asked him which appliance had recently lapsed insurance - he wouldn't answer just said "are all your appliances in working order. I said I already had appliance cover - he put the phone down.

I have to say, if I picked up a call and they said they were calling on behalf of my bank but couldn t confirm which bank, I would immediately think scam or fake call and I d put the phone down.
