It rang once to cut off could be scam or fraud
I had to ring them as they were calling 4 times a day every day for over a week. They told me they will remove my number and I will receive no mre calls but I blocked there number to be on the safe side. I installed Call Blocker ap on my mobile and no more get through :)

Claimed to have been passed my number by a public sector - which one they wouldn t divulge. Reading through the above, however, and despite their reluctance to give information, I think it s a genuine call (reported a crime to the police, which was solved). This is some landline from London area, I couldn't find any info for this specific number, but there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. All of them are used for some kind of telemarketing (sometimes also cold calling), seems to be working for non-profit organizations (Cancer Research UK and similar), but in fact nuisance. People did someone answer this number?
