First i had a call saying i had an accident in my car, which i had not, they then hung up. Then today i had a call saying something about industrial, so i told the caller i would report him to the preferential call services.

Claimed I d had a motor vehicle accident within the last two years and could claim some compensation. When I told him I d had an accident, but back in 2002, he got quite cross and said that he obviously wasn t talking about that one as it was more than two years ago. He was talking over me when I was trying to tell him the information he d got was wrong, so in the end I hung up and have blocked the number. Such a rude and obnoxious man!

I just had the exact same call - because I d paid my tax (seemed to be a confusion between council and income!) I would get a ?7000 rebate. I also insisted on cheque as I would not give my bank details and I was to phone this number and speak to senior treasury adviser "Robert Smith". I was also told that I would have to pay a fee to get my rebate. He also told me I shouldn t spend this money on gambling and drinking lol - really!! Don t get suckered!

It’s a scam! Pretending to be from 02 telling you that they’ve had customers complaining at the amount charged and I was one due a 30% discount for 12 months. They sent me two 02 text messages and I stupidly believed they were genuine. He asked for the code and if my email address was the same. I reported the call to 02 and he said it was a scam.
