SCAM - very unpleasant call. Recorded message on voicemail (electronic voice) said if I didnt answer I would be arrested immediately. So far no arrest, so looks like I havent woken up in a dystopian nightmare where the police issues threatening electronic messages for 'criminals' afterall. Could be very frightening for some.
SCAM / SPAM Call with a automated voice claiming there is a HMRC fraud registered under your name telling you to dial 1 to talk to someone if you look up the number you will find it also registered as a Chinese number China. Guangzhou City and will incur charges if you press 1.

Automated call to say that there had been fraudulent activity on our bank account. Then gave 2 amounts. £250 and £1000. (or so).from Amazon. We have had 3 similar calls in the last 3 days. All from different numbers. No money has gone from our account and no bank name was given and therefore I presume that it was a scam.

Marc called, wanted to know who is in charge of the energy bills, said he was from a company about comparing energy prices. Told him we ve done it all already through U-switch and asked him to remove our number from the database. It remains to be seen if we called by them again.
I have received numerous calls from this no. Over the last few days. I don't answer anymore as there was silence the first few times I did answer.
Tried to sound like he was calling from Bosch about our washing machine. What company is this, certainly not Bosch? We have a protected line but the man calling was very aggress...

I once answered the phone and asked who is it and they automatically cut off. I find it strange how this is becoming the norm all of a sudden. I refuse to change my number though if you call me, I think it is only right that you introduce yourself first. Since they did not I know they have something to hide!!! The number as reported has only 10 digits, it needs 11 to be valid. Some Santander numbers do start 05511 so in principle it s probably genuine, except too short.
