early morning call saying they had information something (I didn t hear what) wasn t working. Obvious scam

nuisance caller. Pain in arse. I call them back and get an answer phone..... so why bother ringing me?

Automated call about mis-sold packaged bank accounts . Option at the end of the call to press 9 to have your number removed; however, I did that last week and have received the same call twice since then. TPS don t deal with automated calls; to report this number, go to the ICO website: https://ico.org.uk/concerns/marketing/report-automated-calls/ Falcon & Pointer claim to be registered with the ICO and with the Government s Claims Management Regulator.

Type of call is fraud . I am getting texts from Barclays Bank telling me I ve done something with my account and if I don t agree then I am to call 03332001014. I guess it s a premium rate number and if I did call it regarding a text from my bank would they then proceed to try and get my bank details. I haven t called it of course but wanted to share the fact that this number is being used in a scam!

This number is ao.com. They ring it when you ve placed an order in the pretence of confirming delivery details etc. In fact, their sole purpose is to sell you their costly insurance cover for the items you ve bought. No new information re delivery details is provided, they just repeat your order details. These are unsolicited scripted insurance sales calls and as such a form of harassment. They don t leave a message when they ring so that you ring back and incur the cost of the call. Very shoddy behaviour.

Old scam - after your data to sell onto other criminals who disregard the law. Just hang up. Good reporting them to the ICO. You don t even need to know their name, just their number. The criminal fraudsters like Anthony Simister who run scams like TAPA like to plant stooges on these forums to discourage honest folk from contacting the ICO or Ofcom. Ignore them. Missed call - unknown. Saw it come in on my what's app... I don't like people phoning me randomly on that platform as that for me is invite/acknowledged only. The country code is for India. So I deem it as slightly suspicious. No message saying who they are. I never pick numbers I don't know. if they are really legit, they could leave a message. I'm tempted to block this number.
