This guy called to say he s from Windows and my computer is hacked. He gave a licence number & wanted me to get on line to check it was the same as my computer s so he then could stop the hacker rather than having to shut my computer down. He then gave me his number to call back, got very forceful when I didn t and again when I said didn t have time to do it. Told him he was rude and hang up. Microsoft have nothing to do with this.

Caller hung up as soon as I answered, which in itself is fine, but I received three local calls over 5 days that did the same and it feels strange.

Calls on this and other numbers are almost daily. They keep asking for Kevin Roberts. Never heard of him. I d like to know how they got this phone number as it is ex-directory and it is registered with TPS!!!

Numerous phone calls - lots of hanging up upon my answer. Another call this morning asking to speak to Suzy... obviously to validate number. I ve now blocked this number from calling me.

Tried to say I'd asked for a life insurance quote, I havent. When I asked for my details to be removed from the database he hung up. Very rude man.

Hal s reply is spot on. If someone sends a text message to your landline and you don t pick up the phone it gets stored for you to retrieve later. This 0795 number is where you collect the message, plus the number of the mobile phone that sent the text. It s not dangerous. All depends on what the text message says, of course - that could be anything. In my case it was someone texting to say Sorry I Missed Your Call. See? Not dangerous.

I once answered the phone and asked who is it and they automatically cut off. I find it strange how this is becoming the norm all of a sudden. I refuse to change my number though if you call me, I think it is only right that you introduce yourself first. Since they did not I know they have something to hide!!! Keep getting calls and spoof texts, they claim to be Scottish Power but they are not. They tell me my number is linked o a SP account but I rang SP from their website number and they have advised me there is no account with my number. I cannot make them stop so having to change my number. It been happening for months but I ignored them until it ramped up to daily.

A foreign sounding voice asked me information about my computer, I refused to let them know anything as they sounded Eastern European, not Geordie if they came from Tyne and Wear.

This number has called me on several occasions and leaves no message. Call back the number and it s a message from LVM on behalf of a client. Telesales. You can call them back on 0800 013 6675 and remove your number from their services. It takes up to 5 days

Darrel Thatcher tried the same with me today. Word for word like the other commenters have stated. Can t wait for him to call back so I can give him a mouthful.
