Call claimed to be from Vodafone retentions department promising me a 40% discount, asked me a bunch of security questions and then asked me to read him the code from a password reset email that he had triggered on my Vodafone account. This apparently would enable him to send me the priority app so I could access 5G calls and VIP features. Alarm bells at this point. I said I'd call him back then checked with Vodafone. They confirmed that this is not a number they use and not to give out any information. SC

This call was made from an extremely noisy office, where the background noise was so loud that I had real trouble hearing the person on the line. They offered to call back - and did so, but about an hour later. They said they were calling from my phone company about an upgrade, but when I asked them to confirm which phone company, the caller got very annoyed (raised voice) and defensive - and most importantly, couldn't tell me which phone provider asked them to call.
SCAM claimed to be calling from O2. Hung up immediately knowing they were not legit. Instantly got texts from 'O2 UK' sending a OTP which I never requested. Noted that previous texts were from 'O2UK' (no space).

Well, nobody has been trying to call me when I was at home, and as I check my phone whenever I've been out, then I know for sure that it's nonsense so I just hung up. Sounds like a robot call from a bank anti fraud call. That's why I looked the number up. Since the number hasn't come up on search I can. Only assume its a scam. Anybody else had a call like this? It seems very real

Scammer. Caller claimed they were from Microsoft and that they needed to fix computer as it was sending critical error messages. Not even logged into any machine, so a load of nonsense. Calls from 0115-677-5963 are a Scam! If ever you don't recognise the number, DON'T SPEAK & JUST LISTEN! If you don't hear anyone and after a short pause the line goes dead, then congratulations you've just successfully escaped being scammed! This is because it was a computer calling trying to establish if your number was in use and if a voiceline. If you'd spoken, your number would be logged as a voiceline and some clever con-artist would then be phoning you later.
