SCAM Message popped up on my laptop stating that it was in danger of being hacked and had been temporarily blocked. The error message suggested I called a helpline (number stated 020) said to be Microsoft Security. I rang, lady answered (Indian/pakistan accent) lots of noise in the background, she wanted me to depress the windows and the letter R key on my laptop. was evasive when I asked what would happen. Stopped the call, turned laptop on & off, messages disappeared. Call rec'd from 01158881064

SCAM called to day at 0801 Tuesday morning Said that my internet was being used illegally and internet would be disconnected and to press 1 or 2 for more info. Pressed 1. Another male anserwed and asked why I was phoning. , Isaid Iwas told to call because my internet was being used illegally. He then asked me to go to my computer. Someone from this number attempted to defraud me by pretending to be a relative needing cash to repay a debt.
So this number comes up for a Polish restaurant Folk House Zakopane in London. Well they'd have no reason to be calling people out of the the blue and 'Max' claimed he was calling from Carphone Warehouse.
TAXES / HMRC automated message that said there were problems with my tax and Asked me to press one to speak to a tax advisor. I don't they would call from a mobile number.
I have a Sky and 02 contract, different phones. I had a call from this number purporting to be 02 on my Sky phone; took me a while to realise! Offered me a 45% discount on my bill for 2 years with no catches??? Spoke in an Indian accent, very fast, so not easy to understand. These cowboys are so poor that they use a Hotmail email address. He called me a f*cking id*ot as he hung up when I exposed his illegal activities.
