FrI was caught out by this today. Luckily, I realised after the call ended and was able to change my account details before any damage was done. The scammers knew all of my details - full name, address, email address, how much I'm billed each month - even my security question. They were very convincing. They applied just enough pressure when the texts to change my account detail came in that I didn't have time to read them properly. Thankfully, I read them after the call and got straight on to O2 to change

My son with special needs got a barrage of calls from this number spoofing police calls that he got involved in a car accident on the M5, another call saying that they are bailiffs saying that they owe them £1,600. Incident reported to the police already. Stay away from this number. They hide using this number so you won’t see their phone number.

Phone call received at 1105hrs this morning ( 12th April ) caller with an Asian accent introduced herself as Mary from Sky Technical support advising me that they had received several reports that my internet was causing problems. I terminated the call at this point.
Called my home phone. Didnt pick up since literally no one knows this number other than the phone company so its always spam of some sort.

This is a scam. They phoned me on my (not a smart) mobile. An automated American voice stated they were from HMRC informing me that I owed money and they were sending the dept collectors around. To discuss this matter further and settle the debt I should press; 1. Problem is, I did my Tax Return in April and don't owe any tax. I've not owed tax for years. Indian lady with call centre background noise called, she said she was from carphone warehouse. And gave me a iphone 15 max deal with unlimited Internet and calls for £18. I have signed up, she took my credit card and bank details. She said she'll get the phone delivered today...I'm not sure if this was a real or fake because i can't see any such offers today.

07834756958 A Person calls up and says I think you have my phone. (Strange as I've had this number for over 10yrs.) Told him I think you got a wrong number. Then get a text saying sorry to bother you I got a few numbers the wrong way around. Possibly someone doing research to see if the number is active to put it on scam site. So will look out for more calls.
