SPAM Caller asked if I was over 50, used a cane or walking aid, said I was eligible for medical alert. Started giving me blurb about how many people of my age going into care home etc. Asked why he was contacting me. Said his boss gives him a list of people over 50 with medical conditions. He hung up when I asked what medical condition that would be. Might be wrong but sounded like a scammer looking to target for elderly people with health problems. Grateful it wasn't my elderly mother that he called.

I was caught out by this today. They claimed to be calling from O2. Luckily, I realised after the call ended and was able to change my account details before any damage was done. He called me "Mam" on the phone, and when i asked him what my name was, he said their privacy policy didn't allow them to see names, just numbers. I said I didn't accept calls from people if they didn't know my name and his reply was "are you deaf or something?" I didn't get the chance to answer his question as he swiftly hung up! Clearly a scammer of some sort! AVOID!!
