Their phoning mobiles "about their mobile phone insurance", and claiming that the number has been obtained by "market research". Utter rubbish - number has been mine for over 12 years and is purely for emergency family contacts. Not given out to anyone else.

SCAM Evil little man pretending to be a bailiff enforcing a writ, he will call you and pressurise you, he will say that you owe £x amount for a debt that you have been informed about multiple times and that you haven’t turned up to court for. He will say that his name is Kevin Wynn who is actually a bailiff and a good guy but this little man is impersonating him, PUT THE PHONE DOWN!

Unrecognised tele number that actually left a message in the form of a female electronic voice with US accent. Message didn’t begin as you would expect - seems to come in part way through a sentence - but the gist suggests an arrest warrant for financial irregularities has been issued & to call the number back. No name reference etc. Clear fraud. Number blocked but will keep in case of a future similar call from a similar number & pass to the authorities. Derbys.

Number pretends to be HMRC calling about tax fraud registered against my name. Automated call, threatens you with imminent arrest if you hang up or don't press 1. Once you press one, a very deep Asian sounding accent answers and asks you for your details. Which they should have since they claim to have opened a case against you. SCAM Called me at around 1100 hrs (Tue) on 27.7.2021 on my UK landline. Pre-recorded message read out by a lady, claiming that there has been some illegal activity going on with my internet, unless I contact them (e.g. by pressing '1' for .....'2' for .....) immediately, my internet will be shut down within the next 24-48 hrs.
