This call was regarding credit companies and that I was due to be reimbursed. I asked the man for information on what it was for, and he couldn't provide this under Data Protection, but reeled off that I had a credit card, my address, etc. He spoke over me, and when I told him he was being rude, he told me to ".... off" and slammed the phone down.

Caller hung up as soon as I answered.
Caller knew my full name (so my details have been sold on) - his sales pitch was to suggest that I had had "a package holiday in the past" and thus I am entitled to claim compensation against operators for "lack of cleanliness" - he did not introduce his company or himself - I suspect he would want additional details (bank) if I prolonged the call - AVOID
