This is a scam. they try to get you to invest. they never give up and will use different numbers all over England. Each person who calls you is of Indian origins. Not possible in England not to have one person who is not and indian. Especially with Englands diversity. Just dont answer or hang up and block the number.
My wife took the call and person with a Asian voice started to go on about my council tax and when i asked why he was calling at this time he said it was very important and i told him all government offices are closed and that this is a failed scam and he and his boss must be as thick as hell to call at this time then i put the phone down. Got a unwarranted call from them where I had a barely understandable person on the line who wanted to wanted to talk about the blockchain. I just hung up after hearing that.

This pervert was sending disgusting text messages to my partner over a period of months despite the number being blocked, he used different apps to bypass. When challenged he blocked me without any response. How he got my partner’s number is still a cloudy one, but we in the Trans community do not make a habit of encouraging men to “slap us in the face with a (male chicken)” as a form of alarm clock. This number called but I missed it, when I tried to call back it said I had dialled and incorrect number.
someone claiming to be from O2 called me just now from this number. They were offering a 30% discount on all my bills until the end of my contract, asked me if I wanted to go ahead and told me I would get two text messages with a code I needed to read back to them. Usefully, the text messages were from O2 (the caller had gone into my profile and done a forgotten password which triggers the texts) but the messages said very clearly not to share the info with anyone, even if they claim to be working from O2.

The caller who had a Chinese accent said they were calling from 3 Mobile to sell me a new i phone or Samsung mobile, or alternatively all inclusive minutes for £6.00 for a SIM only deal and asked me what I was spending each month now. I am with 3 Mobile so I didn't feel inclined to give them that information and hung up.

I'm not even living in the UK and the phone number I got called on is a Dutch one which I do not use very actively. I didn't answer but it's safe to assume that ignoring this number is the best course of action.
It was a recorded message with a very polite womans voice stating she was from bank security advising that there was two suspicious transactions from my account one was £300 pound from Amazon and the other was a card transaction from abriad of £1300. The recorded message then asked me to press ONE to speak to an advsor. I hung up the phone immediately and called 1471 the call was timed at 1345 hrs on 26-01-2023,
