said she was calling from debt recovery or something and when i asked how she got my number she told me my husband gave it to her..i asked if she could fix a date for me to meet him as i've never been married and am curious as to what he looks like...i then called her a mug and hung up..made me feel better regardless of how childish i was!
got called by this number on my mobile. No one ever calls on my mobile, except this number. I did make an insurance claim 2 years ago after someone dented a rental car I took out in Aus and didn't leave any contact details. Insurance company & Aus rental car company had my mobile number and these calls started 3 months after the prang, so I suspect my details were sold - probably by the insurance company to recoup their losses (I understand they do that sort of thing).

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 17734055xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI, insurance claims, but also energy schemes - Scottish power. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?

I received a call from this number but didnt answer. When I called back I discovered it was Laithwaites wine merchants, who I have an account with - so it was legitimate call but seems they have changed locations as the area code is definitely a new one.

Called once and then hung up. This has happened with several numbers. Being aware of this scam, I always look up such numbers before doing anything else.After reading here, most definitely BlOCKED!
