Got in a Spam / phishing e-mail just now. Why can t Ofcom close these guys down ?

I also received a call from this number.I don't live in Scotland and know very few people in Scotland-no message left so I shall not answer it if it rings again

Sounded vaguely feasible until I 1471 d the number and got this one-was expecting a local number as she said (and was perfectly polite, no aggression at all) she was calling direct from my local Tesco Express. Are based in Scotland with no known office in 01305 exchange area. Have calls from Scotland re-routed through local exchange numbers in order to persuade people to answer a local number. If you call it back, then the call is again re-routed back to their Scotland office. Not sure if this is an illegal practice under telephony legislation, but would be interested if anyone can come up with the legislation about having calls re-routed to give the answering CLI the impression that the call is local.

I got call from this number yesterday, no message was left. I just got another call and from this number 0161 416 6212 but it was silent for 30 seconds then I hung up.

Have moved into faxing. They use an anonymous number to fax you, then ask you to send response via their reply form to 02080683154. We are registered with TPS/FPS. They are not complying with screening regs.
