this person keeps calling from a different number stating that there are suspicious activity on my account in Wales.
My brother got a call from this number asking for a gas meter reading. He was not sure where the caller was from but a 1471 and internet search brought up this number as belonging to British Gas. However I am not with British Gas but with Southern Electric, for at least the last 6 years. I called Southern Electric who said they did not call for any reading and would not do so. They sent a message asking to call them urgently, when I called them they refused to say what there company did unless I gave them my details, they said they had sent emails and letters, which I havent recived. Obviously I refused to give them any details what so ever and would advise you to do the same

Gets you to go online, shows you shed load of viruses, licence expiry and explains due to this you no longer have any security on your pc, the security on pc you have therefore won t work until you pay for the licence agreement renewal and pay £400 for a lifetime security installation from Windows. He then convinces you to allow remote access so he can install drivers onto pc

Fraud Got a phone call from this number. I answered the call and nobody answered for about 20 seconds. Then a very thick Indian accent said "Hello, this is Jenny from BT Openreach.....". I replied "No your not...your a scammer" and hung up. I know and live in this dialing code and there are no BT Openreach offices in this area. Given the accent and that it is BT Openreach (which I don't even use) I suspect this is an Indian based scam call centre.

Claiming to be Visa - automated voice saying payments had been taken for Amazon and Western Union. Wanted me to hold and give personal details.
Shortly after completing an online purchase I received a voicemail message saying it was from Central Scotland Fraud Prevention and wanted me to ring them back regarding suspicious activity on my bank account. On calling the number on back of my card for 24 hour banking I was told that no suspicious activity had been noted and that call received was fraudulent.
Has called my home phone over 30 times even though number is blocked is from ask.uk. Obtained my number illegality though internet. Won t stop calling, utter pest.
