I'm in West Yorkshire and this is one of the increasing landline robo calls, originating from the south of England, I've been receiving in November 2020. Where it rings, there's no one there if I answer and if it goes to voice message, no message is left.

As usual, when I was hard at work on something important that needed concentration, I got this call again. The usual recorded voice addressed me as "Dear customer". Before turning to Tellows I looked it up on another site and found there had been 169 complaints about it there alone in a few days. Surely the authorities can do something about this, or are the perpetrators so clever they cannot be traced? I hope they are, and that they will get their deserts for their criminal behaviour.

Called me twice in 2 days but left no message. I called the number back & it was an answerphone stating it was from the County Court in London???? (Er, which one one love? There are several - nice attempt as a formal English accent though....). Apparently I've got a cheque for compensation waiting for me & I need to leave my name & address. So I left a message telling them exactly what I thought of them. Scamming scumbags!!!

To be fair they did say they buy number lists in and gave me an email address to contact so they can tell me what list I was on as I should only be on the list if I have 'opted in'. I NEVER opt in - am careful to opt out of marketing. Have done both home and car insurances lately, so no doubt some comparison website is to blame!
