Received a call from 01156772574, they claimed to be from Virgin media and offered a contract renewal for a Samsung S23 unlimited texts/mins and internet all for £25/month. Please whatever you do, do not give your financial details to these Indian scammers! They are using an IP phone network to impersonate Virgin media and try to obtain your account details and the long number on your credit/debit card! This number is not secure, it is scammers pretending to be from O2, offering a 50% discount off your monthly bill. Tempting, obviously. They say a text will be sent to confirm this, followed by another text with a code to activate the offer. They will then ask you to repeat the code to them BUT doing this will allow them to take control over your account and possibly other info on your phone. Something didn't feel right so when they rang back for the code I didn't answer but googled O2 scams. Beware.

Jason Phillips called me from this number and then sent 2 email copy letters with Financial Ombudsman Service at top right of the letters, stating a big refund for my solar PV. He asked for covering payment upfront saying it is needed to cover costs of UK Law Associates before a refund could be arranged. I had no positive proof of who he was/is and declined the payment. I am perusing this through the ombudsman who is handling the case of mis-sold pv for me.

SCAM - Recorded message claiming to be VISA saying 2 large purchases had been made on my visa card (I don't have one) so deffo a scam. Shame it was a recorded message or I would have been happy to insult them in new and inventive ways.
Called and asked for very confidential information. I caught the scam and didnt give it to them. They are a danger to society and a threat to children. I am not free to reveal any more details but beware of this number.
