Apparently HMRC. Knew name and address but hung up when we said wrong number.

We have also just had this scam call, claiming to be from BT trying to remote fix our broadband. As BT have confirmed, they DON'T call customers as - ironically - they wait for us to contact them about faults.

SCAM This was an automated call saying that my internet would be cancelled and to press 1 to speak to a director!

Fraud. Claimed to be from DWP saying my National Insurance number was suspended due to fraud. This call was in-fact a load of rubbish, don't fall for it.

Potential scammer at best a cold call

Just got a call from this number on our landline, saying it was from 'Solutions' and then 'Solutions Marketing' (when I pushed the lady further for information). They had my wifes name, the 1st line of our address (at least) and said that they wanted to 'save us money on our broadband/telephone'. They didn't know who our broadband provider is, so it looks a bit like a phishing exercise from a general database - perhaps on behalf of someone? SCAM pretend to be B.T, saying noticed your Internet been fluctuating. Asks last time speed test was done and if you have access to laptop/computer, and will go through with you to fix Internet speed. They lock you out of your laptop/computer have access to all your Internet banking details, card payments made etc. If you don't bank online , they tell you unless you pay them money, they won't reverse the block on laptop/computer. Fraud claimed tax unpaid and I will be arrested

I received a call from someone who said she was from an indecipherable (!) company who was going to check I had the cheapest phone line rate. She said she had a few simple questions about my current phone line. When I asked again who she was working for, she replied she would put me through to " one of our lovely advisers". At this point I rang off.
