Called me up saying they were from "Support Assist" and understood I had recently been in an accident. After it transpired that this was not the case, the charming man on the other end of the line said "you fucking idiot" and hung up. Tried to call them back to glean a little more information - an automated message tells you to email [email?protected] - which bounces back. I will track them down eventually.

Rang number back ,recorded message saying your call is important to us, was very strong Asian accent... hung up.
Had calls from this number yesterday and today. Am sure it is a scam but similar voice to other automated messages so would frighten those who are more vulnerable. Do not call back. I am going to report to HMRC.
This number is just another one in the same range of similar numbers - 19167199xx - same call centre, mostly reported as a silent call (just testing their database of numbers), sometimes as accident chasers ("Have you been involved in a road traffic accident...?"), or telemarketing offers. I assume this is the same case, blocked it when they called. Did someone speak with some person behind this number?
