must be from the payday loan scammers.. got a call on this at 9 in the morning

Just got a call from this number. The caller siad he was from the Call Blocking Service and claimed that they will stop the nuiscance calls you receive - for just ?40! I heard of this kind of scam before and ironically enough I m already registered with TPS - which is free, by the way. It s clearly a scam since these kind of services are usually free and don t require your credit card information.

Only know the number because I was randomly charged ?99.99 !! Which is the first random I ve ever encountered while Internet /phone shopping I did receive a random info booklet on holidays a few months / lots of weeks before anyway this number was attached to the payment from my account the only thing I can suggest is to report the company to whomever and to contact your bank stating that a fraudulent company has your card details if you do recieve a catalog from them. Saying that there was no other warning

Charged £24.00 last month on my mobile phone bill. Already racked up £13.60. Have contacted police and filed a fraud report. Texting my mobile but I nevet signed up to this. If you text stop back to numbef it doesn t work the website is fake. My mobile provider did not want tk know till I informed them I had spoken to the police and cancelled my direct debit. A man claiming to be from office of fair trading called saying I had £ 5000 cheque from ppi which they had claimed for me and I had to buy a £250 Ukash voucher and then the cheque would be delivered I questioned this and the caller calling himself Peter McGuire became rather frustrated I said I would look into it and he should call me back tomorrow! O FT website have a warning about phone scams like this!

Called asking about previous credit cards in last 15 years. I told them I couldn t remember which I had from a few they suggested. They kept asking the same questions which I said I couldn t remember. They went on to ask about any loans which I said I don t remember, she said ok and hung up! I will ignore any further calls from this number.
