An automated message - has called me numerous times over the past week. I ve tried pressing 9 to opt out. Makes no difference at all, so this time spoke to someone by pressing 5 . Apparently they will remove my number -takes up to 48 hours. Definately the most persist nuisance call I ve ever had.

SCAM / SPAM - called purporting to be from BT Openreach about slow internet. I do currently have a case pending about slow net, so believed them at first. Got suspicious when they said they needed me to share my screen with them. When I asked them for a phone number to call them back on to check who they were they hung up. BEWARE.

I'm not sure about this call at all, he said his name was Alex (but I can't remember the name of the company he was calling from). He kept asking me to repeat my answers - even if it was a simple yes or no, I didn't repeat, I just asked him a question - this only happened twice before he hung up on me. I've read that there are some scams where the called attempts to get you to say some key words to record them. I don't know if this was one of those calls - but he did give up really quickly. You possibly know the right words, they may also not be of Uk Ethnic origin, so tell them what they are. Remember they cannot report you!
