However, I have not had an HSBC account for more than 4 years. Please report the number to your phone carrier and apply the normal block and spam filter to the number. Either phone rings and there is an engaged tone when I answer, or I answer it and it seems to be from a foreign call centre threatening debt collection, court and bailiffs when no one in my home even uses 3! JTM called to make an appointment and I missed the call. I had complaoned that hey had not called me previously. you cannot call them back as they answer and ask how they can help but as soon as you say anything they pretend they cannot hear you and put the phone down I have now tried from 3 different phones and am very annoyed.

Caller identified herself as Julie Smith from Signet Advice (as far as I could tell with some background noise). Said she d been informed I was recently injured in a car accident that wasn t my fault. I asked her how she knew that. She replied that she was sorry to bother me and would remove my phone number from their database and hung up on me without pausing for breath. Pond scum. (My number is registered with TPS and I can t stand talking to idiots so I ve reported them)

SPAM - Rude and aggressive man on the phone. Tried selling me electric for a unit we'd just moved into. When I told him I'd sorted it myself directly he tried to say I was paying over the odds. When I told him I definitely wasn't he shouted down the phone at me and hung up... if they're going to try and sell you something you don't need then at least make them friendly!
The guy said he was calling from boilers on benefits, I asked whereabouts in the country he is, then cut off. Waste their time, be abusive etc. And maybe it will deter these kid...
