This company have phoned me every so often for years. They always ask for Joanne, that’s not my name, I have repeatedly asked them to take me off the database and yet yesterday and today I received a call from them. They are a nuisance.

Fraud - Fake "debt collecter" type call. Asking to speak to financial department about an overdue debt that is owed (completely false allegation) but had no names or contact details. When asked if anything had been sent in writing the chap with a "Georide" accent said it could only be dealt with by phone so number blocked and reported.
Answered the phone and nobody was on the other end then just hung up, have since blocked.
They called asking for someone of a different name. I said it's a wrong number and they hung up. However it sounded very much like a scam call centre. After doing 1471 3 called them back and was hearing a recorded message about them being telly tube or telly shute. Never heard of them.

Auto message stating call from 'bank fraud dept' saying 'your card has been used for £300 via amazon & £1000 for an international transfer. No bank name, no card type given. Sounds like a scam as asked to press option 1 to cancel or option 3 to speak to someone.

Called me claiming to be Scottish Power, wanted me to tell them my address, saying I had a debt on my account. I asked them to tell me the address to which they claimed the debt was overdue on, but they couldn't. When I told them that I have never had an account with Scottish Power, they became very aggressive and eventually told me to f..k off and hung up on me.

The number was in an email which said it was from a friend (who I've not been in contact with for years) , asking for "help", but it was very much like another email I had just received from someone else saying he was a friend but that was spam. Phoned to say money had been taken from my account to pay amazon and sent abroad, kept asking for my account number, told him i would phone the fraud dept at my bank and give them his number and they can talk to each other. He then rang off, now blocked this number.
it is a scammer claiming to be from BT. I checked with BT to make sure and have reported it to them.
