Mobile phone spam / scam / fraud. Scammers pretend to call from Currys Mobile department. They will sign you up on a completely different deal than agreed initially with the most expensive phone available. They use several phone numbers some of them on Whatsapp. Also will e-mail an order confirmation from an address that seems genuine. It's not. After receiving the parcel they will try to convince you to send the phone back to some shady residential address. Avoid!

Suspected Scam I recieved a message from this number shortly after a private number phone call stating i had hit their car and left a message with my phone number (i havent hit any cars nor left my number) I then received text message asking why i hit their Car followed by another asking for my insurance details.

Number comes up as a UK mobile issued by EE. Lady with American accent asked for the phone's owner; when asked "who's calling please?" she asked again if she could speak to the owner - we replied "Yes you can, who's calling?" she hung up.

SCAM Cold call from John of the equity team claimed changes to equity release scheme, wanted to ask me questions to see if I was eligible 'phishing' said I wasn't interested, he said I didn't need to be at this stage I then said he had cold called and it was illegal he said that wasn't right. Scam caller, states they are O2 offering me a discount on the services I have with them (I'm not even with O2). When questioned about how they got my number, became very hostile and rude. The line was also very poor, kept crackling.

17 March, just called me, left no message.
Left a message on my answer phone which was difficult to understand but appeared to be about an address for parcel delivery. They never said who they were or asked if I was the person they were trying to contact and further investigation showed that calls to this number cost 16p a minute from a landline plus a setup fee of 23p.
