We have today received numerous calls in regards to this Police scam, they refer to the Thames Valley Police. This scam is still very much at large. The first number they called...
Just called, 13:15pm 26th March 2021 01484234296 automative voice, long pause before talking. Said I was involved in a car tax scam and I should call by pressing whichever number I forget now. If I didn't get in touch I would be arrested immediately. I believe it's a scam a HMS tax as they state they are would not call using an auto voice caller . we'll see!

They called me 3 times a day for a month before I finally decided to answer the phone. I was very polite when they started telling me how they were not trying to lend me money, however they WERE offering a great rate on loans (uuummm???) so I managed to interrupt the lady and said that I was perfectly fine financially and had no need for a loan, and that my phone number must have been sold to them without my permission. She was very sympathetic and even apologised for the call... and then she came in with t
Woman with thick scouse accent rang...great emphasis on not being a sales call ....oh yeh. Why else then? I know, she want s to wish a perfect stranger happy new year ...silly me! If you like being bothered by illegal cold calling to flog you windows that you really don t need, then hang on to her every word. Otherwise proffer a dismissal of this phone pesti your own inimitable way!
