I did not recognize this number, so I decided to let it go to voicemail. Needless to say they did not leave a message. Looking at the previous comments, it was the correct thing to do by ignoring the call. My motto is ... if it is important/legit then they will leave a message.

PPI Lead Gen (trading Name) based in Yorkshire. Someone needs to find out the limited company name so we can all sue them on moneyclaim.gov.uk for loss of work time. Dangerous scam call pretending to be from HMRC. Threatening immediate arrest for non-existent unpaid taxes unless you give them an immediate payment. Just end the call, don t press any keys and if they leave a voicemail don t call it back. There will be no legal consequences, they re just trying to scare you.

Message was in Chinese...2nd message received... in Chinese in 2 days.Third missed call and message left from different number...Said there was a message from Chinese embassy..please press 3 for further details then ended in another verbal message in Chinese..I see the first call originated from Manchester..as far as i know Chinese embassy is not in Manchester...
