A man claiming to be from office of fair trading called saying I had £ 5000 cheque from ppi which they had claimed for me and I had to buy a £250 Ukash voucher and then the cheque would be delivered I questioned this and the caller calling himself Peter McGuire became rather frustrated I said I would look into it and he should call me back tomorrow! Allegedly it is BT detecting suspicious activity on my phone and they will disconnect me. As I am not on BT so this is probably an attempt to get my bank details for fraudulent purposes.

If you have a call from them you should call the number back and ask for James, the call centre manager and demand where they got your number from.
