The number = 01709889223, this number phoned me today (at 13:08 on 1st March 2022) and the caller stated they were from BT OUTBOUND ringing about my telephone. They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls. I checked online and the number was listed as Indian and Rotherham based, Indian company masking the no to a local city!!

Rang me twice so far saying they are from sky and ringing about internet. She doesn’t give her name or ask for anyone personally. Sky always ask security questions and asks for named account holder.

This landline from London area is used by call center working for non-profit organisations, mostly connected with Amnesty International, but can be used for different organisations. This call center uses more numbers from the same range (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated). If you are not interested in fundraising, I recommend to block the whole 2034760xxx range...

By most users this number is marked as a scam call, in fact the line is payed, so be aware and DO NOT call them back. Mostly it is connected with offering magazines or some financial services.

How do I get their registered address? If they have phone numbers. They will have bills..what’s the address that BT write on the envelope when they post it to them?? Then we should all go down there and demonstrate until they cease trading! Even if they don’t - the publicity should be enough to alert other innocent people receiving unwarranted abuse in their own homes!
