Did not answer. Knew who it was as I’d previously told them that I’d recently changed my tariff with BG themselves and this included them supplying a smart meter which they will soon be doing. Only getting one because it was a good deal with the tariff. Told him to remove me from their records as it was pointless calling me. Certainly don’t want a second meter thank you!

This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls, fake wins, scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. I followed a discount code link for Dominos pizza. My payment didn't go through & I received an automated call from "Santander fraud department" tel no 0800 640 6114. I tried to pay with my TSB card, again payment was declined & I immediately received an automated call from "TSB fraud line on this no 0345 3511 688. Clearly a scam. Just used the same card straight after on Amazon with no issue.
