These calls use spoofed numbers and originate outside the UK. Just block the number if you have the facility. TPS is useless against these callers.

First a woman answered, seemed like it was the last thing she wanted to do and told me the line was bad so she would call me back. No call back so I called again. Called on mobile today when I asked what they wanted in a very unfriendly way they cut the call.
Let them ramble on for a bit; apparently I could be owed thousands in PPI claims, which they would chase for me for only 30% of it. For reassurance they gave me a different callback number to the one that had rung on my mobile, then asked if I would speak to my bank and request PPI information on their behalf while they kept me on hold.
