These companies that provide numbers in first instance need to be investigated and blocks put in place. I think the UK regulator in the field is failing us as the public. What do they actually do??? In my opinion virtual numbers and use there of including the companies that provide these numbers needs to be monitored to stop this abuse. Seems to be some call center, I can see more similar numbers (all the same range - 014833220xx) reported here already. No idea who is behind it, they left no message, no VM. I really don't answer unknown numbers, tried to dig some info about this number first on internet, but no luck so far. People did someone answer it?

I did not reach the phone before my machine kicked in but as soon as my message started the phone call was ended. I do not know anyone in this area but I do know that the scammers are now able to link on to UK landlines to fool you into thinking it is from a UK number. Yesterday I had a similar call from a number about 15 miles from home but when I picked it up there was the usual call centre pause. When I tried ringing back there was no reply.
Obviously a scam call!
A survey that I supposedly took some months ago, they asked if I have ever worked in a noisy environment and did it affect my hearing, after saying "pardon" about 5 times I tried another tactic,I continually ask for "their policy number" this seems to have done the trick as I haven t heard from them in weeks now.

No idea who the company is, but they use a ''mobile'' number first 079698977868, you will notice this number is 12 digits and not the standard 11. They use this so you answer, granted they give you the option press 5 to speak to someone or 9 to exit. Press 5, you must press 5 and get them to ring you, that way you can have a go for unsolicited calling! These companies are vermin and need to be shut down!

This number, 01223660041, rang my mobile and I declined the call. Then I immediately received a missed call text from a different number, 01515249700. I called both back yo see who had called and both had the same identical message, sounding like "thanks for calling fresh contacts. Please wait for next agent" at which point I terminated my call.
