I phone Lloyds (PhoneBank) number to be told that this number belongs to the Lloyds Credit Card Collection department (I had missed a payment due to personal circumstances) and they wanted their money. Like most people, I am suspicious of individuals whose language skills are a lot less than mine and have a heavy accent. I have had calls from this number, after a long conversation regarding data protection, I confirmed my address to discover it was for my previous address. The debt was from several years back that I thought was paid. This is not a scam, but people who are doing a job to get debt paid. You wouldn t walk into a shop and fill a trolley with goods and leave only paying for some of it. With debt we have either received the goods or service. Mine was for photos that I had forgot about

Follow-up call from Jason Thomas. Very pleasant. Explained that Nigel Parry would be visiting this afternoon. Went through various security questions. Explained that cost of equipment was £399 and reference RP54R4 would give 50% discount, installation being free. Explained that visit was no obligation . First time £399 was mentioned as Sarah didn t mention that in the last call. AVOID
