got a text from this, it’s a scam/fraud relating to “my mercedes” which i don’t own… don’t reply with your numberplate. block.
SCAM Unusually, this was actually an English person on the other end of the phone rather than a call centre setting from India etc! The number rang my works mobile at 10:05 09/05/2023. The person on the other end spoke very well and professional, saying that they were calling from HSBC, and were making me aware of activity in my account that looked suspicious, that money was being taken out by an advertising firm. It’s a Vienna, Austria, number. No idea why they called my mobile as I didn’t answer the call. Call came in at 8.15am which is too early for a legitimate business call.

Asked for a "Mr. Raymond"; when informed he had the wrong number, he requested my name to add to their caller registry. I declined, and he tried to tell me something about investing. I ended the call early by saying I had stuff to do. Overall the guy on the other end was very respectful and polite, and had a very mild Indian accent, so I think he might've been legit. Of note, however, is that my number is a Canadian number.

SCAM, i called it back and it said, this number is not in use, automated. If today 17th June 2023 from 11am 53 people have searched it then i guess it will lead to some scam and the number is using this to hide behind.
