Fraud Phone company is investigating this number based in Yorkshire as they found it was linked to my pay monthly account. So knew my personal details and set up a new line! I only found out about it due to a different investigation regarding “crossed lines” or someone basically listening in on my calls! I lady called me saying she had frozen a transaction from going to a offshore account in China. The currency was bitcoin. This was odd as these transactions go to a bit coin wallet then to a debit card that is registered on your account. She did no DPA to verify that I was the account holder. Then she wanted me to download a app I refused so she asked if I have a pc or laptop. I said pc she wanted to screen share. I would do no such things I told her then hug up.
They said they were from Santander bank but they very peristant & harrasing. They wanted answers to personal info. I didnt give so they threatened to close my account. Not your friendly bank manager. Be aware of these calls and dont give oit personal info like passport, house info

Legit. Checks out with what is listed on the HSBC UK website. Though the call quality was very bad. Also, you know it's a genuine bureaucratic banking process when they ask for 10 different details to confirm your identity. I swear the support lady could just identify theft the hell out of me at this point.
