I was contacted by this number who said they were Carphone Warehouse and I was due an upgrade on my phone. I felt the telemarketer was very friendly but was very pushy. Repeating my details over and over. He then had to phone back to say that my address wasn t on their system and that I needed to phone Orange and update even though I have lived at my address for 34 years and had 3 Orange contracts. Needless to say I told them not to bother.

I have had calls from this number, after a long conversation regarding data protection, I confirmed my address to discover it was for my previous address. The debt was from several years back that I thought was paid. This is not a scam, but people who are doing a job to get debt paid. You wouldn t walk into a shop and fill a trolley with goods and leave only paying for some of it. With debt we have either received the goods or service. Mine was for photos that I had forgot about

I am local to Wrexham and have recently had 4 local numbers that have called me whose numbers I don t recognize so have left the calls go to answer phone but shortly after my answer phone message starts, they hang up. They are probably all from the same organization all calling from different numbers. On answering phone, caller launches into a pre-recorded talk. Doesn t respond to "Hello, who s calling?". very rude. Had this twice this week. Replaced receiver both times.1471 told me it was 01600469009

Keeps calling my number but usually no one is there when I answer. Just a long period of silence and then the call is ended. Very annoying and probably upsetting for some people. I have spoken to them in the past and said I was not interested but it has not deterred them from calling again and again.

I phone Lloyds (PhoneBank) number to be told that this number belongs to the Lloyds Credit Card Collection department (I had missed a payment due to personal circumstances) and they wanted their money.
