Called today @ 10:46 by an indian woman advising she was calling from nationwide bank. She asked me to confirm my postcode. When i asked what the call was regarding she repeated where she was calling from & asked about my postcode. I asked again what it was regarding as i dont have an account with nationwide then the line went dead. I tried to call it back to see if genuine but came up as invalid number.

This is the UK version of a scam running amok in the US. The supposed company, microsoftechs.com, contacts people and claims there is an issue with their computer. The claim to be partnered with Microsoft and gain confidence with all the classic scam talk. If you do get scammed, they will access your computer via remote access, go through your email, install software and who knows what else. PPI Lead Gen (trading Name) based in Yorkshire. Someone needs to find out the limited company name so we can all sue them on moneyclaim.gov.uk for loss of work time. They do not honour the remove from list option when they call. If they dont stop calling people when they request not to I will make it my day job to find them and endure they pay dearly.
