I got a call from this number saying they were amazon and someone had purchase a £300 phone on my account. When I told him to cancel it he asked me to log on to my playstore account. When I said to him it was a scam and that I was not stupid he swore at me and ended the call

The number = 01709889223, this number phoned me today (at 13:08 on 1st March 2022) and the caller stated they were from BT OUTBOUND ringing about my telephone. They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls. I checked online and the number was listed as Indian and Rotherham based. So Octopus Brokers pretending to be an Energy Company, are selling private details to third parties who want to put lethal equipment in people's homes so they can cut people off when they feel like it. I will report them to the ICO. Section 4(2) of the Fraud Act 2006 covers fraud by abuse of position which the billing company deliberately omit. The are committing fraud as they have no valid contract with anyone. Smart Meters cause health issues and should be banned asap.I blocked the scammer. No consent.
Information 07355 118732 sent me a text message. HSBC: Direct Debit successfully set up to EE for 183GBP, if this was NOT YOU call us on 01313785729. I don`t bank with HSBC, but anyway, tried to call the number given. This just rings for a couple of minutes then get a message saying the mailbox is full. Therefore, both the mobile and landline numbers given are SPAM.

Was called by this number early in the morning with an automated message regarding an Amazon Prime subscription I had not renewed and was going to be charged £95 because of this oversight. I could press one number to speak to an adviser and another to contest it. I did neither as it was clearly a scam. Interesting that this was a landline - it makes me wonder if they forgot to press 'number withheld'. Would think this could be investigated

This call is a scam call reputed to be from London, when the "lady said her name was jane in an Asian accent, I asked if she was in Nagapur India the line went dead.
