SCAM Call started with ' A oversees transaction of 600 pounds was made today was this you ' Was then asked to answer yes or no. I stated no I was put through to a foreign call center stating to be from the Halifax. I stopped him and stated I will end the call and call Halifax direct myself. After doing so Halifax stated it was a scam call and to block the number.

Caller said they were from talk talk, but I hung up ....
Called no message left. When I returned the call a real person answered alleging they were from HMRC. The call had very noisy background which sounded like a call centre. I immediately hung up the call.

This happened to me as well I was taken in by these scammers who promised me loan. I feel very upset by this that I have reported them to the Trading Standards
They knew my name and said they were "Quadrangle", this was nearly 9pm. Seen the other comments so I have now blocked them.

SCAM / SPAM Indian call centre with spoofed number. Lots of these calls are blocked by BT Call Protect and/or my number blocking handsets. Best investment I have made though the odd call (usually a new number) gets through. This number was one of the few that did and had a bit of fun wasting their time. Accident claims call. Never been in one. avoid.
Called twice within the hour during the evening. Nottingham code. We live hundreds of miles from there! Left answer machine to deal with it. Recorded message saying there was a power cut in our area (there was not) press a number to acknowledge we'd heard the message (we didn't). We unplugged the phone overnight as they'd said they'd let us know when the power would be back on. Odd!
