THis number has been calling my mobile, when I answered today they said they were calling about a competition I had entered and wanted to check the details I had put on the entry form were correct. I suggested that if I had filled in an entry form myself then they would be!! However they started to read them out and had several things wrong, including title, first name, and marital status. Number actually shows as 0019798234079 on caller ID but this site seems to drop the 00. This is a Windows security scam where they tell you that you have viruses on your PC and they can fix them for you. Didn t go along with it today and said to them that I suppose they were going to show me errors and warnings in my Windows event logs and they just hung up without any further comment. Hopefully they will remove me from their database if they realise I m too Windows savvy to ever fall for this.
